farnham creates
This is a town that once exported white clay to the Romans. It is the home of potters who have produced work for destinations as diverse as Liberty, Clarence House, a palace roof in Rangoon and a toilet in Wrecclesham. There’s also the art college, established in 1880 and now thriving as the University for the Creative Arts; and the Maltings, bought by the people of the town in 1970, and transformed into the largest arts and community centre in the South East. No surprise then, that Farnham is increasingly seen as a hot spot for creativity in the region...
See the 'festivals' section for upcoming events at Farnham Maltings and across the town in May 2009... |
